PART 1 – THE FENG SHUI OF THE KITCHEN
The kitchen has the most frenetic energy in the house. In feng shui terms, the kitchen is the room with the highest vibration in the home. It pertains to relationships, health and harmony and relates to all the family members in the household. The way the room is designed and laid out will have a very direct impact on both the man and the woman of the house, but most especially the breadwinner. The cooker relates directly to the father of the home and the sink to the mother. If these are positioned incorrectly then the pair will fight. The arguments will be like a volcano exploding – sudden and intense and over quickly ,but with a lot said in a short space of time and with quite hurtful words spoken. The position of the cooker and sink will also determine how each will behave towards the other within the relationship and whether or not they feel supported by one another.
The kitchen affects the nourishment and the nutrition of the entire family – from the type of food to the way it is cooked to how it is served and eaten. All of this will decide how everyone gets along with one another and with the outside world, how healthy the family will be and how long they will live, how well liked and respected they are, and how well they will do in life. Where the kitchen is located within the home, both the sector of the house and the direction the cooker faces, could also have serious repercussions for the father of the home and/or the overall health and future destiny of the entire family. A tall order for just one room!
