Part 1: Creating a Healing Home
De-clutter to make space in your life: You don’t need half as much as you think you do, and getting rid of some of it will make way for new opportunities
Choose natural finishes for a healthy home and well-being: Natural is also the most beautiful and can be a practical option too
Select calm colour schemes: Choose colours that bring peace and tranquility into your home, creating a haven of calm and the perfect sanctuary for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation
Noise: This is something we are all becoming more and more aware of – too much unnecessary noise which is exhausting and stressing us out as well as ruining our peace and quiet. Choose appliances that operate at less than conversation level, i.e. less than 48 decibels will help, especially in an open-plan kitchen living area. Every now and then switch off the television, radio and other distractions and just listen to and appreciate the silence. It’s good for your mind, body and soul to shut off, and learn the value of alone time, the joy of silence, and the pleasure of escape from outside interference
