Opportunity knocks at front doors, one of Ireland’s leading feng shui experts has revealed

Thousands of homeowners flocked to the country’s newest interior design event at the RDS in Dublin today.

Speaking at Home 2016, Chinese feng shui consultant Nina Kati urged people here to pay more attention to the entrance and exit to their house.

She said: “The front door and the back door are really, really serious. We all have a mouth and a backside; we have a mouth to take in all the nutrition we can from our food, so the front door [also] takes in all the opportunities coming our way.

“All the good luck, all the career opportunities, maybe a promotion or a pay rise, benefits such as a return on your financial investment, all of those things are coming in through the front door, so don’t block the front door.

“But equally because it’s yin and yang we also have to expel the toxins, so you must have a front door and a back door – not a front door and a side door only or a front door only like you sometimes find in apartments.”

The Waterford-based interior designer was just one of the speakers who took to the Miele Inspiration Stage at the three-day spectacular continuing from 10am-5pm tomorrow.

And with more than 150 exhibitors there are sure to be plenty of opportunities to perfect the energy throughout your home.

Tickets for Home 2016 are €10 at the door and under-12s go free when accompanied by an adult.
