Regular exercise:
To circulate the chi around the body use movement that is not too slow or too fast – martial arts or swimming are the best forms of exercise or you could take a gentle amble in green surroundings with good company and great conversation (or listen to nice music via earphones). This will do an incredible amount of good in a short space of time for your mental health, emotional wellbeing as well as your physical vitality.
Meditation:
Try to get some quiet switch-off time for at least 15 minutes once or twice a day to clear your mind, develop a sense of peace within you that will feed and calm your spirit, and recharge your body’s energies completely. We need peace in our lives and peace of mind is one of our ultimate goals that we seek in our lives. Noise is detrimental to our health and the ‘white noise’ we experience today is hard to blot out. Learn ways to bring about calm and tranquillity within yourself and you will reap the rewards of inner contentment.
Restful sleep:
Get a good night’s sleep and wake up rested. Sleep in a bedroom located in the right sector, in a bed facing one of your best directions that has the right shape (preferably upholstered) headboard, and sleep on your back with a very low pillow or no pillow at all in a room with no mirrors visible – for 8 uninterrupted hours a night. It is important to get used to sleeping in a darkened room as this is important for your body. Never hang anything over the head of the bed or your brain will keep waking from the edge of deep sleep to check if it is going to fall and hit you on the head – another natural survival instinct, our own built-in Health and Safety system!
Free mind:
Free up more head space by creating a habit of getting the little things done to give your brain the chance to deal with the more important stuff in your life. Stop procrastinating and just get on with it. It is harder to cope with the guilt and anxiety of not doing something than doing it. When you do get on with the tasks at hand, remember to do everything with good intentions and not resentfully.
Self-Belief:
Believing in yourself gives you the confidence to empower yourself. If you achieve something you initially thought you could not do, that is when you realise you could be capable of so much more if you could only get out of your own way!
Self-Empowerment:
Become knowledgeable. Information (of the right kind) is power so learn all you can and become self-empowered through knowledge. Then use this information for the benefit of others – otherwise all you will do is take it to the grave with you. Make use of it through passing it on through education or to develop a product that will change how something is done, and so on.
Spiritual Advancement:
Cleanliness is next to Godliness – live a clean life for spiritual advancement. A clean life is a clean mind. It is about not having things on your conscience. No guilt and no regrets.
